Gordie is joined by Nathan Alfaro as promised and they only begin to scratch the surface of MARILLION talk. Gordie dares Nate into re-imagining MISPLACED CHILDHOOD & CLUTCHING AT STRAWS, blending them into one continous conceptual story. MARILLION dominates, but we do manage to mix other characters into the story. PETER GABRIEL, GENESIS, SGT. PEPPERS, JOURNEY, ROGER DEAN, EDITH PIAF, KISS (THE ELDER), GAME OF THRONES and... THE 3 STOOGES. Stick around to the end for outtake silliness.

This long delayed episode is so long that it took two weeks to edit. Gordie and Paul finally get around to hundreds of topics, including: The new VAN HALEN and their recent show at MADISON SQUARE GARDEN and the bulk of the episode is about our dear, departed mentor - Harlan Briedenbach. Harlan was the owner of LOONEY TUNES records, the legendary used record store in NAPA, who brought counter-culture and musical awareness in the seventies. Paul goes to RANDEMONIUM and the MUSEUM OF MOVING IMAGE in NY and Gordie recommends BEING ELMO and reveals his new favorite LP ever. ROCK SOLID PODCAST, TOM JONES, JOHN LENNON, WALT DISNEY, IGGY POP, THE BEATLES, RAMONES, THE MONKEES, DAVID BOWIE, BWANA DEVILS, IGGY POP and BOOTLEG DAVE all show up. MIKE NESMITH seems to be the main topic, but we hit on THE MONKEES, JUDAS PRIEST, THE FOO FIGHTERS, PRINCE THE BANANA SPLITS, BURT WARD, WIL WHEATON, the roots of Alt Country and way too much table banging for emphasis. Gordie meets celebrities, gave up on comics, stayed cool with Love and Rockets, Cerebus, Arthur Adams and fails his own test on old time hockey conferences. Nathan Alfaro finally joins the Gordcast legion. Gordie reacts to a CD of songs provided by Nathan, hasn't finished Battlestar Gallactica and never was in a band as a teenager. Nathan gets his degree in Sociology, goes to Disneyland and gets a mani/pedi. Maria shows up sporadically and we all agree on Paul Stanley's dancing.

Bridget goes to court with Michael Jackson, helps jocks with book reports and looses Russians. They both spend way to much time on feminine hygiene products and just don't get Hooters.

Paul finally finds a current TV show he likes, Tony is mistaken for Trevor Rabin, explains Gumby to his wife and Gordie ruins coffee for quality control. They all discuss Sid & Marty Krofft, the KISS solo LP's which segues into The White Album and Tony won't stop with The Beatles already. Finally we "wrap" with auto erotic asphyxiation.

Tom Beland finally joins me to talk about comics, comics, comics. Gordie admits that he isn't exactly sure where Puerto Rico is on a map. Tom tells of sharing Gwen Stacy's death at the dinner table, how Alan Moore intimidates him and that he couldn't write a Kang story if you paid him. This is a longer than usual episode and we get very silly and rambly, so have fun! (At 1:21 I missed an edit and am too lazy to go back and fix it right now, so skip to 1:23 or enjoy the song.)
